Other details:

There are two kinds of CO2 Welding Wires. One is the solid carbon-steel welding wire. This variety is used with carbon dioxide or more specifically with 25 percent of carbon dioxide and 75 percent argon. Carbon dioxide is used for coating the welding wires because the gas gives a much deeper penetration of materials when welding them. It is majorly used indoor where there is no or minimal wind and widely used in the manufacturing and the fabrication industry. This kind of welding wire can weld the materials that are thinner, or more specifically those whose thickness is 22 gauges.

The other type of CO2 Welding Wires is the Carbon-Steel welding wire. This is also called Flux cored welding wire. This kind of wire is special because here no shielding gas is required to protect it from atmospheric particles. It is very good for functioning in outdoors where the wind is strong and for welding rusty and dirty materials. In other words, it is a very heavy-duty welding wire and is much hotter than solid wires and tends to weld the materials of thickness of 18 gauges and beyond.

Most of these CO2 Welding Wires in the industry is used in the Metal Inert Gas welding process (MIG). It is far more advantageous than other processes as it is easier to operate and use. In this process of welding the GMAW torch creates an arc or welding material in between the material to be welded and the torch surface.

This wire is used for automotive body building, fabrication components, etc. The offered wire is suitable for gas metal arc welding of mild and carbon steels. This CO2 MIG welding wire is available in various ranges from 0.5mm to 2mm in thickness.

Superior Conductivity and Durability

Designed with a high-quality copper coating, these CO2 welding wires offer enhanced electrical conductivity and greater resistance to oxidation. The precision layer winding on plastic spools ensures minimal tangling and smooth, uninterrupted feedmaking them ideal for extended welding operations in demanding environments.

Versatile Applications Across Industries

These wires serve as reliable filler materials for MIG/MAG welding processes in sectors like general fabrication, construction, automotive, and shipbuilding. With compatibility for all welding positions, they streamline work on mild steel structures, delivering both strength and flexibility for projects of various scales.

FAQs of CO2 Welding Wires:

Q: How does the copper coating on the welding wire benefit the welding process?

A: The copper coating on our CO2 welding wires improves electrical conductivity, ensuring efficient current transfer and stable arc performance. It also acts as a protective barrier, reducing wire oxidation and prolonging both wire life and weld quality.

Q: What are the available sizes and spool weights for these welding wires?

A: Our welding wires are offered in multiple diameters (0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, and 1.6mm) and are supplied on standard spools weighing 5kg, 15kg, or 20kg, catering to both small-scale and high-volume welding tasks.

Q: When should I use copper coated CO2 welding wires for my project?

A: Copper coated CO2 welding wires are recommended whenever you require consistent quality in MIG/MAG welding of mild steel structures. They are especially advantageous for projects demanding reliable all-position welding and enhanced wire feed stability.

Q: Where can these welding wires be applied?

A: These wires are widely used in fabrication workshops, construction sites, automotive manufacturing, and shipbuilding yards across India. Their versatile design makes them suitable for most general and heavy-duty welding applications involving mild steel.

Q: What is the process for using these wires in MIG/MAG welding?

A: To use these wires, load the desired spool onto your MIG or MAG welding machine, ensuring correct wire feed settings for the chosen diameter. Adjust your machines voltage and wire feed speed according to welding position and material thickness for optimum results.

Q: Can these wires be used for all welding positions?

A: Yes, our copper coated CO2 welding wires are formulated for all position welding, allowing operators to perform horizontal, vertical, overhead, and flat welds with consistent performance and strong elongation characteristics.
